Google Reader is shutting down on July 1st. Move your feeds to one of these alternative RSS readers instead
I have been using Google Reader to collect RSS feeds of blogs that I want to follow. This gives me a good a idea of wht is trending in my industry and fodder for ideas to write content on.
I have used Google reader as a collector and bookmarking service over the years and with the one click add extension on Firefox, it’s been indispensible.
Now Google is shutting it down. What next? You can easily create an export file from Google Reader and import it into another RSS reader.
I have been using Flipboard on my iphone and Netvibes on the desktop. There are lots of alternatives below. Pick one you like the look of and try it out.
